New England Road Trip

Travis and I have always wanted to go up North for the Fall!  We had some openings in our calendar this fall and knew it was the perfect time to finally take this trip.  The week we planned was supposed to be peak leaf week, but due to a drought the leaves peaked super early this year and we arrived at the tail end of it in the northern parts of our trip.  We hit up so many destinations along the way and I cannot wait go back in the future and do MORE!  Here is a little photo recap!

Newport, RI

I adored this town!  We stayed at the prettiest beachside resort with a view of the water from the window.  We toured the historic downtown areas and wharfs, walked the cliff walk, saw the mansions (any other gilded age fans out there?) and then ended our day at the Castle Hill Inn for stunning views of the lighthouse. Shoutout to Mother Pizzeria for an amazing pizza and Gelato Sundae that we are still talking about!

Want to get married in Newport?  We would love to shoot your wedding at the gorgeous Castle Hill Inn!! such a beautiful spot!

Salem, MA

I love Hocus Pocus and all things Halloween so Salem was on our list without a doubt.  We walked the popular Essex Street, saw the witches House and Rope Mansion from the movie.  We also walked some of the charming neighborhoods around there. I was honestly expecting a little more Halloween Decorations from the town, but overall it was fun to see it all!

White Mountains, NH

Top of my list for this trip was hiking Artists Bluff.  I couldn’t wait to see the stunning views.  Although there wasn’t as much fall color, it was still breathtaking!  I would do it again in a heartbeat!  We also drove the Kancamungus Highway to our little cabin on the water.

Portland, ME

Next on our list was Portland and it was stunning as well!  We walked the Old Port Village and shops, the waterfront, experienced our first Lobster Roll and Whoopie Pie and then headed to the Head Light Lighthouse!  The views there were some of my favorite the entire trip!

Kennebunkport, ME

This charming little town was just what I expected the New England Coast to be like.  I wish we had planned more time for it!  We walked the cute little shops at dock square and then drove out to Walker’s Point.

Boston, MA

I think I loved Boston just as much as all the other stops!  We did so much here!  We had to walk the iconic Acorn Street and Beacon Hill area.  I also had to go see the Boston Public Library and the Christian Science Plaza to see the stunning architecture.  Shoutout to Tatte for the most amazing Jelly Donut.  A must stop place for sure!
