Texas Travels

This year has truly flown by for me.  I sit down at least once a week with an intention to finally blog all the things I have been shooting and doing around here and then something else pops up for me to tackle instead.  Today I am FINALLY sharing our Texas trip!  We traveled to Texas mid September to photograph one of our couples and had a little bit of a mini-vacay while we were here.  I love when we get to shoot in new places!  It makes it so much more fun.  We went down a few days before my shoot and our first stop was WACO!  I have always adored Chip and Jo, much like the rest of the world.  So this trip was long over due. I loved walking through all the shops at the Silos, soaking in all the inspiration and design, eating all the yummy food too!  We spent the morning at the Silos, went to Magnolia Table for lunch, drove by several of the fixer upper places (the castle, the air bnb, the grist mill, and their new hotel) and then headed back to the silos for a final look before having dinner at their restaurant.  It was a perfect day!

Our Second destination in Texas was Fort Worth.  We had to see the stockyards and eat some Texas BBQ!  It was such a neat experience!

We spent all day Saturday and Sunday evening shooting for the stunning Justina and David!

And Sunday we got to do my favorite thing on the entire trip!  We went to Social Dallas for Church!  I have followed Robert Madu for YEARS.  I spend a LOT of time on the road and one of my favorite things to do is listen to sermons while I drive. I have heard him preach for elevation and life church a few times in the past and when he planted his own church in Dallas, I started listening every week!  His messages are amazing.  Let me tell you that hearing the word in person is such an experience and one that I will never forget. The message was PERFECT for what I needed.  You can listen to it here if you want!

We cannot wait to head back to Texas next Spring for their wedding day!
