THE NEW CLP!!!

WELCOME TO THE NEW CLP!

Asheboro_NC_wedding_photographer_2138.jpg

It seems like the last few years I have done a new webpage or refreshed my brand quite a bit. Truthfully there have only been 3 versions of CLP in the past, but small changes have been made a lot. So, here I am again saying…CHECK OUT THE NEW CLP WEBPAGE. But really, it is more than that.

I never intended to re-do my webpage right now. I was fine with my old one. It still represented my work well. I had just invested in rebranding my blog and I was happy sitting tight a little longer. And then, my hosting company kept having issues left and right. It got to the point where I couldn’t even update my page at all. And I was frustrated. So, innocently I contacted my fabulous designer of my blog (Rachael with Earl & Layne) to pass on some kind words I received about the blog design and ask a quick question about the possibility of doing a custom page in the winter. The next thing I know, we are chatting about doing a webpage. And within a week, we had things going! Rachael is just amazing! Truly!

If I could give ONE piece of advice to anyone looking to do a new webpage, hire someone. I have done my share of template pages and they are just not all that. I could give Rachael feedback about an idea and she would bring it to life. It totally fits everything I want. I also have to tell you that all things web related are a BIG HEADACHE, so invest in having someone do that work for you. I had issues left and right popping up on my old site and the switch to new hosting wasn’t flawless either, but it was great knowing Rachael would take care of it. I didn’t have to talk with tech support about things I wasn’t even sure what they were. ha!

So, when I started working on my thoughts for my new business home, I knew I had some changes coming. I wanted things to be simpler. Here area few changes you can find:

SMALLER GALLERIES
I wanted the galleries to be full of images that made my heart happy. I had to say goodbye to a lot of old favorites, but they will live forever on this blog! When you have shot over 100 weddings, you have a hard time picking favorites! I am emotionally attached to all of my work!

NEW PRICING
You are probably thinking, she totally raised her pricing! And you are partly correct. But the truth is. I restructured. I have changed my business from both ends (weddings and portraits) to only give my clients the BEST. Much like I only want to share my best, I want to GIVE you the best when you hire me. So all sessions have a higher fee but include all full res files! I am super excited about this. πŸ™‚

I have seen many seasons of this business. I have tried a little bit of everything when it comes to weddings. And with each change, I learned what worked and what didn’t. And I have happily found what I want to GIVE my clients. I only want to give the best. Emphasis on GIVE. I am not a sales person. The thought of money conversations makes me squirm. I do however see the worth in the service I am providing. So having a fee that allows me to give the best of everything to every client is the way to go. And there is so much freedom in that. Once you take away the selling of products AFTER the fact, it just gets simpler. I come home ready to share my heart out. I find myself being more creative. It just fits me.

I adopted this philosophy in weddings for a while, but I felt such a disconnect in my portrait work. I was still selling prints for the most part. Although 90% of my clients purchased the digital files, I still had the few that just ordered some prints and that was fine. But part of my heart would sink knowing that some of their photos would never been seen again. So I decided to re-structure. It is going to change everything for me.

SO GO CHECK OUT THE NEW PAGE!!

If there are typos, it’s because I’m all teary-eyed typing this! I’ve seen all three versions of your website, and this one does a beautiful job at emphasizing your work and the emotion behind these special moments. Honestly, my favorite part is the “About Candi” section. It’s hard to put yourself on display, but I really enjoyed reading about your “why.” Well don!!
