An empty chair sat on the front row. One by one his daughters walked down the aisle and placed a rose in the seat, followed by their mom and then the groom Eric. The roses were just a small tribute to their father who had passed away earlier that year. He was supposed to be the best man, so they honored him with a beautiful tribute to stand in his place at the ceremony. Taylor also gifted Eric cufflinks with his father’s fingerprints on them to wear at their wedding. I would say there were pieces of him everywhere throughout the day. I know he was watching from heaven as a proud father.
This wedding has been on my calendar for the longest time and I have to say it was worth the wait! We fell in love with Taylor and Eric during their Charleston engagement session in the spring of last year. We knew their wedding day would be equally awesome!! I say it over and over but it isn’t the pretty details of a day that make a wedding amazing, but the people that we serve. Eric and Taylor along with their family and friends were so gracious and kind the entire day long. We felt like one of the family and we loved watching these two as they were surrounded by so much love. I do have to say that their sweet little flower girl Kylie stole the show that day. She was precious!
