I have always been a pretty big dreamer. I have never been afraid to go after something regardless of how much other’s think it is a bad idea. Truthfully, those “bad” decisions were some of the best of my life. Marrying at 19, moving to NYC, having 5 kids, and starting a business from scratch. Those things have DEFINED my life. They are the things that I cherish the most over the years. They weren’t easy or financially the best choices at times, but without a doubt I would do it all over again, each one of those decisions!
This week, I am dreaming big again. I have traveled to Washington DC to take photos in the cherry blossom (bucketlist item checked!) and now I am in Virginia soaking in an amazing workshop for wedding photography. I wanted to start my year off really INVESTING in my business and growing. One of the quickest ways to learn and grow is by attending a workshop. Hearing how others do things, even if a lot of it I already know, there is always a moment where something clicks and a new idea is born. Making connections in this industry is a fun thing to do as well. I spend 99% of my work time alone, so having a community of people that “get it” is super awesome! And I get to shoot a pretty awesome styled wedding. So it is going to be a big share next week!!
Here are a few shots from the last wedding workshop I went to back in 2010. 🙂

So here’s to the dreamers, may you follow your heart today! You won’t regret it!
So gorgeous!!
