At a recent meeting with a bride and her mom, they asked me what my favorite wedding I ever shot was. And that was such a hard question to answer. Of course, the Jamaica wedding I shot will always hold a very special place in my heart because it was an amazing experience. But the more I thought, the more I was convinced that I couldn’t pick a favorite. These weddings that I capture, they are almost like children to me. I couldn’t just choose one. I love them all. I love LOVE. The longer I do wedding photography, the more I fall in love with it. I love chatting with brides about their plans, following their pinterest boards, getting to know them as a couple and then seeing how it all comes together on the wedding day. There is an excitement that I can’t explain when I pull up to a venue on the wedding day. I am so anxious to get out of the car and just start capturing already! I am known to get there before my commited time just because I can’t wait to see it. I love details. From flowers to decor. I love watching the day unfold and leaving with a million pictures to sort through. The entire experience is a high for me. I truly love what I do. I think the beauty of it too, is seeing how each wedding is different. Seeing how they make it their own. I shoot a lot of the same venues over and over, but no two weddings there are ever the same. It is a different feel every time. And I love capturing that.
So onto Bridgette and Brandon’s wedding day! It holds a special place in my heart as well because I went to high school with Bridgette. Watching someone you know get married is awesome, capturing it is even better! Bridgette and Brandon had a traditional wedding, but we snuck in some very personal things into the photos…like guns and fishing rods! It was a blast! Here is a peek at their wedding…
Thank you guys for allowing us to capture your wedding day! I wish you many years of happiness! 🙂
And I will be back with yet another wedding day soon! 🙂
