Have you seen this funny video circling the internet? I just love it. And it got me thinking about showing love. I used to think that love was shown with flowers and dates and diamonds and big romantic gestures. I mean, I am a romantic at heart so I love those things! But the longer I have been married, the more I realize while those things are nice, they aren’t personal. Here are some of my favorite ways that Travis tells me he loves me…

The way he takes my hand in his and we dance in the kitchen, even when there is no music playing
The way he makes me laugh, usually so hard I start crying or can’t breathe.
The way he always knows when I am upset without me saying a word.
The fact that he puts the little boys to bed each night because he knows bedtime makes me crazy.
The way he wraps his arms around me and kisses my neck when I am cooking dinner or washing dishes.
The way he rubs my head at night until I fall asleep.
When he listens to me go on and on about work or the kids or some silly movie without ever complaining.
