THE JOURNAL

Taylor & Josef

Truth be told, I didn’t want this wedding day to come.  Only because I have LOVED chatting with Taylor throughout the last year about her wedding.  From sharing her excitement for all the stunning details she has picked out to sending her some fun finds I came across that fit her vision.  I knew this wedding was going to be amazing and I selfishly didn’t want it to be over yet.  Let me just say that the day turned out EVEN better than I ever imagined.  Taylor has incredible taste and she put together an amazing dream team full of vendors that I thankfully call friends. Our fist impression was  the gorgeous invitation I received in the mail with a custom crest created by Jessica Marie.  Talk about a stunning start!   She also hired Nicki Paige for planning and I knew the day would run flawlessly.  Nicki is amazing!  My friend Melissa with Wisteria Designs knocked her florals out of the ballpark (as she always does!).  Her elegant white blooms of all varieties placed into the ginger jars throughout the day may be a new favorite!!  And the sweet little cake from Sweet Rhi was simply gorgeous and yummy!    I had so much fun capturing all the pretty things Taylor put together!

And while I love a beautiful designed wedding day, I love these two more!  They were the sweetest couple from the start.  Josef teared up so many times when reading her letter and it brought me to tears watching him.  And the way he looked at her with the biggest smile during their first look showed how perfectly suited they are together.  Taylor was the most chill bride and truly took time to enjoy her wedding day.  She planned a first look so we could knock out portraits before the wedding at it was the perfect way to go.  We got so many incredible photos of them!    I can’t blog this wedding without noting that this venue, The Creek Club at I’on was the first ever Charleston wedding venue we photographed a wedding at!  I guess you could say that venue was the one that started our love for the low country!  We were honored to be back there to celebrate this elegant day!  The waterfront views made the perfect backdrop for saying “I do”.  This venue is nestled in the cutest little community of homes with some gorgeous spots for portraits.  I had fun exploring and capturing some romantic moments with these two!

Taylor and Josef, Thank you for trusting us to capture your wedding day.  We are honored to have been there to celebrate you two and your love.  We wish you many years of happiness!
