The first time I met with Tatum and Elijah, I knew I would love capturing their wedding. We sat across from each other at a table and discussed their vintage themed wedding. I watched as their young faces made eyes at each other in between the chatting. I saw the way they looked at each other and it reminded me so much of when Travis and I got married. I respect young love as I too got married at the young age of 19. Marriage is so much more than love. It is about committing to each other and Tatum and Elijah did just that.
Their wedding day was filled with SO much good stuff. It was truly a photographer’s dream. Tatum collected so many treasures from yard sales, antique stores and other places to make her wedding dreams come true. From the vintage china place settings to the old banner flags she added to the front of the house. She left no detail behind. Every part of her decor was done with intention from the table settings to the bridesmaid shoes. And it made for an amazing day.
Their ceremony was equally as detailed with thought and celebration of their union. They made certain that their marriage was starting out with not only a commitment to each other but also to God. It was truly inspiring. And watching Tatum and Elijah both bust into tears as she walked down the isle only to see them turn into smiles that lit up the world once they were face to face made the moment even more special.
There is so much I could say about these two. But I will just let the photos do the talking from here. You may want to grab and drink or snack because this is going to be a LONG post! So many good details to share!
They decided to share a first look before the wedding and it allowed us to do all their portraits (except a few sunset ones) before the wedding so they could relax and enjoy the reception!
now for the ceremony!
If you think a “first look” takes away from the emotion of the moment the bride walks down the isle, they proved you wrong. I think it is all about the emotion of the moment-realizing that you are about to become husband and wife.
some quick sunset portraits…
and just LOOK at these reception details!!
Wishing lanterns…
Congrats you guys and thank you so much for letting us capture your wedding day! Back with more sweet weddings soon! We have had a busy spring!
