They hiked the trails of Raven Rock. Taryn admits that she thought a proposal would be coming and at every turn that day, she secretly thought maybe it would happen here. But once they reached the main part of the hike and she still hadn’t heard him say those magical words, she was conviced it wasn’t happening. On the way back to the car they stopped to take a break by a bench. Jordan started putting stuff away in their backpack and suddenly he pulled out little box. Taryn burst into tears. She says “It didn’t feel like real life!”

Taryn and Jordan have both called many places home over the years, but being in NC at the same time allowed their paths to cross. It is amazing how fate has a way of bringing two people together! Taryn and Jordan met at work. Taryn said she won him over officially with her bowling skills after a company bowling night. Thank goodness that they both were joined together so many years ago!

Taryn and Jordan met up with me in my favorite city on earth. When she messaged about doing their winter engagement session, I tossed my travel plans out there and secretly hoped it would work for them! And even the NC snowstorm didn’t stop us from meeting up and creating some beautiful portraits of their love! These two were so awesome together. We laughed and walked all around the historic streets! I captured some of my favorite portraits to date! Enjoy a few peeks at their session!
