Our Thanksgiving holiday was perfection. While it looked a lot different from years past, we soaked in every moment and had one of the most peaceful times. While it is easy to sit back after a year like this one and list off all the things that went wrong or that are falling apart, I woke that morning with a deep since of gratitude and feeling the abundance of my life. Things aren’t perfect but they are so very good.
This year we decided to have a fancy thanksgiving dinner here at our house. While we love celebrating with our extended family, we wanted to do something with our kiddos to celebrate our time as a family. I have always wanted to make a floral arrangement and Travis pushed me to finally take that leap. I ordered florals, designed a fun menu and styled our table up as pretty as ever. One thing I don’t share much about on here, but I love to cook and host. Since our house is a mess most days, I don’t do it hardly ever. But this Thanksgiving seemed like the perfect time to do something nice just for us. Travis cooked a Brisket out on the smoker and I created all the yummy side dishes and desert. We shared a meal around the table that we spend so much time at. We took turns giving thanks for all the wonderful blessings in our life and ate the most delicious food. It was the perfect day with my boys!
