For the last 8 years, I have worked at preschool while my kids attended. My mom started the preschool at our church right after I had Austin. In need of a job that allowed me to be home with my child everyday, I joined the staff. That first year there I quickly became the one with the camera capturing the children as they played and learned. Each year I would compile all the photos in a end of year slideshow for the parents to see. It wasn't long before I started doing the portraits for the school. The preschool was definitely a stepping stone to the path I am on today.
This year, I made the decision to not return to preschool in the fall. My life is simply too full and something had to give. I will miss the kiddos, I will miss peeking into my own kid's classrooms and meeting up with them on the playground for fun. But I will still be around. I will still be dropping my own kids off each morning. I will still do pictures and slideshows and volunteer for parties and field trips. It is going to be a good move for me…and I know that the preschool will have an incredible replacement for me! :)
Tonight is the preschool graduation and end of the year program. I think my greatest slideshow ever is debuting tonight. :) I am going out with a bang. :) I thought it seemed like a fitting day to share the preschool spring portraits. There are all such amazing children! :)
To all my preschool friends, I will miss you!
Awe…I was touched when I read the above! Sounds like a Bittersweet Farewell! You have a Great future ahead…Keep up the Good work! C
