THE JOURNAL

Randi & Brian stood under the giant moss covered oak tree exchanging their wedding vows.  Each word was carefully chosen with a heartfelt delivery.  At the same time, their toddler son walked across the Aisle several times to grab donuts from this aunt, oblivious to the wedding happening behind him.  This sweet little moment will forever be remembered when I think of their wedding day.  Life doesn’t always go the way you expect, but if you let go of expectations, it can end up being even sweeter.  Randi & Brian know this quite well.  They have embraced the path not chosen with such grace and love.  They actually officially got married in Brian’s Grandmothers backyard back in August so that she could attend.  This day was a celebration of that commitment with their family and friends all gathered. Randi told me they wanted to keep things simple and focus on the sentiment of the day, and they achieved this flawlessly.

We were honored to travel to Pennsylvania to capture their wedding day at the gorgeous Hotel Du Village.  It is nestled in the charming little town of New Hope which makes you feel like you took a step back in time.  While the venue was gorgeous, the whimsical garden florals from Wildbird Flowers stole the show of this day.  I couldn’t stop photographing them. Take a peek for yourself!
