THE JOURNAL

Meg & Croix

They say rain on your wedding day is good luck, but for a bride planning an all outdoor wedding, it doesn’t feel like good luck!  The entire two weeks leading up to Meg & Croix’s wedding day the forecast showed heavy rain and thunderstorms.  Even up to the night before, rain was still predicted.  But when we woke up Saturday morning in Charleston, there was beautiful sunshine and not a rain drop in sight! God really showed off for this beautiful couple!  Meg and Croix and their families all spoke about the prayers for good weather leading up to the wedding day and you could not have asked for better weather!

If there is one thing I will say about Meg, it is that she is a truly JOYFUL!  All day long she would be smiling, laughing, and just squealing with delight on her wedding day.  You could tell that she was so happy to be marrying her best friend.  And the way Croix looked at her, it was evident how joyful he felt in these moments too!  I loved capturing all the joy all day long!  Elle & Co worked their magic with the beautiful florals from Light and Lily Florist to make the wedding swoon worthy.  I loved the touches of blues and soft peach florals in every space.  Blue was a hit wedding color last year and the tradition is still going strong this year!  It’s no wonder when it looks so pretty along with those soft pastel florals!

Some of my favorite parts of their wedding day:

-Croix hired a live painter as a surprise for Meg.  I always love when our couples use a painter.  It is such a cool experience to watch!

-They served McDonald’s Cheeseburgers for a late night snack to all the guests.

– Meg opted to get ready with just her mom so she could do a reveal with her bridesmaids.  It made for such a sweet moment between mom and bride before the busyness of the day took over. I loved the photos we captured with the two of them!
