I think one of the coolest things about my job is getting to photograph my friend's kids. Even more so, it is awesome to watch my friends become parents for the first time. I was lightyears ahead of most of my friends in the parenthood game since we got married so early in life. So for quite a while I was the only one with a kid. Now that I am on my third, most of my friends are starting their families!
Kristin and Brooks had this adorable little guy in July. I had hopes of going to visit them in Deleware to do sleepy cute newborn pics, but it just didn't work out! Luckily, they were coming in for a visit so I popped over to Raleigh and we did some 1month old pics. I crossed my fingers that we could still get some cute baby shots of this guy. He was plump and oh so adorable. He wasn't quite up for me for the first bit I was there, so we played and waited and finally at the end of the afternoon, he tuckered out and we snapped away. He was dressed to the max in his adorable outfit, and we just left him in hopes of not waking him. I think these turned out pretty cute. :)

This is fitting for him, given his name…Carter Finley. Can you tell mom and dad are die hard State fans? lol. We have plans for using the stadium when he is older…I can't wait!!
