Happy Monday friends! I had a great response to the newborn session tips post, so I wanted to do one for my maternity clients too! The more I can help prepare you for your session, the smoother it will go. It’s a win-win!
WARDROBE TIPS:
*Scarf top/maxi skirt- This look isn’t for the shy, but shows off your baby bump beautifully! Colorful scarfs paired with neutral skirts are my favorite.
*Form fitting dresses- Tight fitting dresses can also be a great look to show off that baby bump!
*Maternity gowns- I have an ever growing collection of maternity gowns that you are welcome to use for your session! They have a slit in the front and can be used to highlight that baby bump in a few shots!
*Accessories! You can jazz up the maternity gowns for a look of your own by incorporating scarfs/shawls, etc.
OTHER TIPS:
*Wear neutral undergarments. Most of the gowns are semi-sheer, so neutral undergarments work best!
*Get your hair/make-up done! You will feel more confident when you feel all dressed up. Treat yourself to a trip to the salon!
*Be Confident! Confidence shows in photos! Allow yourself to have fun and not worry over what you look like! I promise you will look great!
*Bring the accessories! Colorful jewlrey, earrings, scarfs, hats. They can make your photos!
*Pick secluded locations! I have several spots that I use often. I always pick spots with little to no traffic. That way you can feel comfortable showing off that baby bump!
* And lastly- HAVE FUN! Remember these moments are fleeting! Even though you may feel huge and hot right now, one day these photos will be precious to you!
I hope you find this helpful! If you want to peek at a few maternity sessions be sure to check out Brittiany’s maternity session or Shana’s Maternity session.
