They sat by the fireplace talking for hours. As the fire cracked they shared their fears, hopes, dreams and allowed themselves to be vulnerable like never before. There by the warm fire, they shared so much laughter and tears. Lindsey said the chemistry was there from the beginning, but after those chats, Lindsey knew that Chad was indeed the one. On December 8, the snow swept in and ruined Chad’s perfectly planned proposal or perhaps you could say that Lindsey ruined her own proposal. Once she saw snow on the forecast she dreamed of delivery pizza and blanket cuddles. But Chad didn’t let it stop him. He quickly turned home into a winter wonderland of snow, roses and tons of pictures of their time together. And that night, he asked her to be his forever. A year later at that very same fireplace where they shared so many moments, Chad and Lindsey gathered with family and friends this weekend and became husband and wife.
There are so many parts of the day that I loved. From the sweet tears Chad shed as Lindsey walked towards him down the aisle to the surprise dance Lindsey and her girls performed. But I think I especially loved the toast by the best man, where he revealed a favorite song that Chad would sing “I’ve been waiting for a girl like you. To come into my life.” As the best man shared that Chad had even played that song on the way to Childress Vineyards for his wedding day, it all made sense. Chad had waited for the perfect girl and Lindsey was indeed that girl. The two of them together are unstoppable.
There is a lot of talk in the wedding industry among photographers about finding your ideal client. The notion is that if you find people that love what you love and love what you do, it will be a match made in heaven for you both. And Lindsey and Chad are everything an ideal client was for me. They were loving and kind, gracious and caring. I loved the details of the day from the black tie guys to the Badgley Mischka heels. But I would trade all the breathtaking details any day to work with people who are like Chad and Lindsey. I mean who text you on their honeymoon to thank you?!? They do. Lucky for us, Lindsey and Chad had all the magical details we love wrapped in one amazing couple. And I couldn’t be more happy that we were able to be a small part of their wedding day!
A sweet daddy/daugher first look….
And then their first look, which was a necessity so we could knock out all the portraits before the sunset! So thankful for clients that listen to me and take my advice. This allowed us to have so many beautiful portraits in great light!!
Beautiful florals by Elaina Nunes
That Maxie B’s cake was stunning and delicious too!
Lindsey and her girls surprised Chad with a fun little dance number….

Mr. & Mrs. Chad Davis,
First of all we both want to say, “We both love you two”
Second, we say, “Thank-you” from the bottom of our hearts for you both inviting us to be a part of your very special evening, your wedding. It was perfect in everything and in every day. To us as we talked to each other on our way home, we said it was like a fairytale, storybook wedding. Lindsey, you looked like a princess, beautiful, & so classy. Chad, you was so handsome, & when you saw Lindsey for the first time in her wedding gown, it brought tears to my eyes.
With all that being said, lastly we’ll say,
Our hugs, love, prayers & best wishes to you both as you start your new life as one, may you continue to grow together as a couple, grow stronger with your love to one another, create precious memories with each other & keep your faithfulness to each other. We both wish you two a lifetime of joy, love, & happiness on this earth. We love you both!!!
