Groomsmen Getting Ready Tips!

I have an entire column of posts for the brides! Mostly because the majority of people who read my blog are brides. But today I am doing a post for the grooms! So ladies, show your future hubbies!

Today is all about tips for the Grooms and Groomsmen on the wedding day

1. Practice tying your tie!
I can’t tell you how many times guys are trying to figure out how to tie their ties (usually bow ties!) on the wedding day. I recommend watching a you tube tutorial and practicing BEFORE the wedding day!

2. Have all the guys EXCEPT the groom ready when I am scheduled to arrive. Eveyone should have their pants, shirts, and ties on.

3. GROOMS- Don’t dress until we get there (except your pants and shirt of course! We will photograph the groom putting on his tie, suspenders, belt, watch, cufflinks and shoes…so don’t put those on until we get there!

4. Hold off or limit the alcohol. I understand you want to party on your wedding day, but too much drinking makes for bloodshot eyes, rowdy groomsmen and ends up making your photographs take a lot longer! We do the majority of all photographs before your wedding ceremony, so you can go straight to the party afterwards and drink then!

6. Relax and enjoy your day! We know that this is your first time being the groom, but we have done LOTS of weddings! So we will make sure you don’t miss a thing and hopefully have fun along the way!

Great tips Candi!! It’s ALWAYS good for the groomsmen to avoid drinking too much before hand 😉

These are WONDERFUL tips!!! I think every groom should read them 🙂 One time, I showed up at a hotel room where the guys were getting ready and the groom opened the door in a towel! Bahahaha, frightening. 🙂
