On Friday, the temps fell to a chilly 39. The wind made that number feel even lower. But that frigide weather didn’t stop us from capturing some beautiful photos! Caroline and Nic were troopers during their engagement session. And it was worth it. If I am being honest I shy away from shooting a lot in the winter months simply because the earth isn’t green and alive. It is difficult to find much beyond brown in the background. And the winter light is much more cool and blue. Even during golden hour, the tones are different. But I may have changed my mind on shooting in the winter. If you can push through the chilly weather, the photos can still be so beautiful. And these two proved that!
Caroline and Nic were such a pleasure to work with. These two high school sweethearts began their love story at Cedarock park for their first date so naturally it was the perfect spot for their engagement session. Caroline said on their first date, Nic slid on the rocks and fell while climbing. Although the moment was pretty embarrassing for him way back then, five years later he took her to that very same spot and pretended to fall again. Only this time he fell on one knee and asked her to be his wife. This park was full of memories for these two. And I loved capturing them there in this new season of their life!
Caroline and Nic, I can’t wait for your wedding next summer! It was so much fun getting to know you guys!
