I stood in the middle of the dance floor. Hands were going up and down. The music was loud, but not loud enough to cover up the sounds of laughter. Every way I turned there were people laughing, dancing and having a huge party. The entire night, it never stopped. The floor stayed packed with people. Old friends and new joined together to celebrate and have a good time. Shannon and Brendan surrounded themselves with people who not only adored them, but who also knew how to celebrate. It came as no surprise to me that Shannon and Brendan’s family and friends were full of joy and kindness just like them. These two were the kindest and most joyful souls. Together they make the perfect couple- warm, loving and so much fun. The way Brendan looks at Shannon will melt your heart too! It was such an honor to not only capture their wedding photos, but to celebrate along with them.
As we headed to Downtown Raleigh earlier that morning, I felt a twinge of sadness. Shannon and Brendan’s wedding was our last of 2016. It has been such a wonderful year full of beautiful weddings! I truly love what I do, and even though I am needing a break, I am sad to not have another wedding until 3 months from now! However, we ended our season with a bang! Their black tie event was full of simple elegance. I had so much capturing it from start to finish! Enjoy a peek at their wedding day!
Their rooftop first look was so sweet!
We walked a few blocks around downtown to quickly capture some portraits! It was cloudy and chilly but these two powered through them!
Their wedding party was so much fun!
The Stockroom was such a gorgeous space for their wedding!
The staff quickly flipped the space during cocktail hour.
