It was such an honor to photograph Megan and Jason’s wedding day! Although they tied the knot back in the summer at the courthouse, they both still wanted a church wedding to celebrate with family and friends. And the day was just perfect! The entire week before the wedding, the chance of rain got higher and higher for their wedding day. The morning of the wedding, the skies were still clear and I headed over early and got to work capturing their details. We finished up the pre-ceremony photos and right before the wedding start time, the rain rolled in. Just as we got to the reception site to start couples portraits, the rain started to slack off. We started with a few umbrella shots and then we didn’t even need it. Right after we put the umbrella down, I saw a GORGEOUS rainbow behind them! Megan shared my excitement as she saw the rainbow as a wedding present from God that he fulfills his promises. Megan had prayed for a husband to love her and her boys for so long and she finally had him!
Megan, thanks for rolling with the punches on your wedding day. For embracing the rain, not stressing out over not having full bridal party photos because of a sick groomsmen, and for jumping into a wet field of weeds to capture some beautiful portraits as husband and wife! Congrats to you guys!
