It was like Deja Vu. We stood in the reception and watched the microphone get passed around the room, one person after another sending good wishes and congratulations to the newly married couple. And once the microphone landed in her hands and she began to speak her words of love and wisdom, I felt deja vu. You see, we captured Cory’s wedding a few years prior and that epic speech their grandmother delivered has stood with me through those years. There is something about someone who has spent 50+ years in the trenches of marriage that makes me pay attention. Her words of wisdom for enjoying all that marriage holds in good times and bad brought tears across the room. How lucky they are to have such a loving grandparent to speak truth and hope into the beginning of their marriage. I am sure it is a moment that Autumn will always remember.
We love working with siblings! We photographed Cory and Kamerin’s wedding, so when Autumn reached out to us, I knew we would be surrounded by loving and kind people! This wedding was a bit different from the normal for us. Autumn and Brian chose to get married at a place they love- the beach! And while they didn’t have a traditional wedding party, there were surrounded by so many loving family and friends! We arrived at the beautiful Ocean Isle beach condo and began photographing Autumn’s gorgeous details. It was like pure heaven for me. I love how Autumn chose beautiful navy details and her bouquet from Freeman’s Florist seriously stole my heart!! After they shared a sweet first look, we headed over to The Isles for their beach ceremony. God planted perfect clouds and a gentle breeze for the entire thing. And once the vows were finished, we headed inside to celebrated this gorgeous beginning! Enjoy some of my favorites from their day.
