Charleston Eats!

I get asked all the time where we eat when we are in Charleston and the truth is we try to find a new spot each time!  We love adding to this list….even though we have repeated a few of them several times!  🙂  SO today I am sharing our tried and true list!

DOWNTOWN:

HUSK-  this is my favorite place.  We frequent there.  I have to say lunch is probably my favorite because their burger is AMAZING!!!!

Poogans Porch- Another amazing place!  We have been for Dinner and Brunch and it is awesome!

Magnolias- Another Southern Cuisine must try!  So good!

Toast-  I feel like this little spot is under-rated at times.  We have had breakfast there many times and have even stopped in for pie.  🙂

Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit-  The BEST quick biscuit around.  There is even a location inside the Market to grab to go!

Fleet Landing- The waterfront atmosphere makes this place great!  The food was good too!

Poogan’s Smokehouse- BBQ at it’s best.  And such a fun place too! Their take on “Banana Pudding” is divine!

5 Church– The inside of the restaurant is stunning and I have to say the food matched that vibe too!

Carmellas- If you need a sweet treat, this place is the hot spot!  Cakes, Gelato, Coffee, you name it!

One Broad– We love this little spot!  A simple menu that you can’t go wrong with!

Charleston Crab Shack- We love the rooftop dining at this spot and their hushpuppies!

KING STREET AREA or NEARBY:

Lewis Barbecue–  Their brisket is AMAZING!  We go all the time!

Litle Jack’s Tavern-this place was awarded the Nations best burger so we had to try it out.  It didn’t disappoint!

Taco Boy-  Take a break from the southern food and grab a taco!  This place is super fun and yummy!!

Fuji-  We love this sushi/hibachi place!  They are location in downtown on King street, mount pleasant and Kiawah!  So good!

Virginia’s on King– We ate brunch here and it was great!

Rutledge Cab Co– Burgers and shakes are what we got and they were good!

The Rarebit– We had heard great things about this one and had to try it for ourselves! A great addition to king street!  Moscow Mules are a must try!

Park & Grove- We love their brunch!

Mount Pleasant:

Saltwater Cowboys– located in Mt. Pleasant, this one is on the Shem creek and really good too! We loved the waterfront views!  Strongly suggest the Creekwhacker drink too!

Fuji-  We love this sushi/hibachi place!  They are location in downtown on King street, mount pleasant and Kiawah!  So good!

James Island:

Bowen Island Seafood– Located on the water, this place has epic sunset views and traditional seafood! Kid friendly too but be prepared to wait!

Bohemian Bull– Near Folly Beach, this spot was fun!  Axe throwing located right behind it to for a fun night out!

Other:

Park Circle Pizza– this spot is in North Charleston, but it was worth it to pick up a pizza!  Such a unique menu and so good! We like to pick it up and take it back while we watch tv!
