I can remember a time when I thought I would photograph babies all the time. ONLY babies. Because they challenged me, I loved them so much. And I still do love sweet babies, but the sessions are honestly harder for me at this point in my life. Our house is in a constant state of remodeling. In fact, in the two years since this sweet family’s first newborn session, we have knocked down a wall, moved an exterior door, changed the footprint of the kitchen, added some new windows, and a million other small tasks. Our home is constantly changing right now and we are doing it little by little (paying cash for all my dave ramsey lovers) and doing the work ourselves. SO I never know what my home will look like when I open the doors to others. I am grateful that the people I have welcomed here always overlook the mess or atleast hold in their comments until they leave. ha! But anyway, now that we have moved our focus to weddings (which is 100% the right move for us) I only get a few babies each year. And I always look forward to it when I do!
I photographed Miss Lydia’s big sister a little over two years ago. It is amazing to see just how much they do look alike too! They both were big 9lb babies (bless their mama!) and so plump! I had fun playing with similar set-ups and making them new again for this little one. 🙂 Here are some favorites!
