I have found myself falling in love lately…with weddings. Don’t get me wrong, I have always had a fondness of them. But lately, I just adore them. Getting to know the couple, seeing how pieces of their personality end up in the day, watching all the moments come together, and celebrating in their happiness. This wedding is another that I fell hard for. Nate was a groomsmen in Elijah and Tatum’s wedding. Amanda actually spoke with my husband at their wedding about having us capture their day. And when he told me later that night, I wish I had knew earlier so I could have spoke with them. But finally the day came that Amanda emailed me. After hearing what they had planned, I knew it was a wedding I didn’t want to miss. I have never had to seek out weddings. They always just come to me. And I stand firmly in my belief that God brings each couple to me. I was MEANT to be at this wedding.
Amanda is from Pennsylvania and Nate from North Carolina. It would seem almost unlikely that their paths would ever cross. But by serving others, they found each other. They both served with Encounter Rivival Ministries. Traveling and sharing their faith with others. I don’t think either of them expected to find Love during their work, but they did. Naturally, they chose a travel theme for their wedding day and it couldn’t have fit them more perfectly. The details they chose were a dream to photograph. I spent way too much time with them probably, but I loved them all so much!
Amanda and Nate are very passionate people. Passionate about life and each other but mostly about their Faith. While Amanda was getting ready for her wedding, she was signing the words to one of her favorite Christian songs. The entire day they celebrated in the joy of love and of faith. And if amazing details and a passionate couple was enough, their wedding party was just so much fun too! We captured more fun portraits than ever before I think! This is going to be a long post, so be prepared for lots of fun photos!
The wanted to pray together but not see each other before the ceremony. Such a sweet moment!
Instead of a unity candle, they burnt a boat. During their marriage counseling they talked about how marriage is like sailing two boats to a deserted island and then setting your boat on fire…how you can never truly leave that island the way you came. Such a different and fun moment for their wedding!
Portraits round one. I can’t say enough about how AWESOME these two are together! I found myself loving all of their photos!
back for the reception..
Then a round of sunset portraits…give me a field of weeds and a sunset and I am in HEAVEN!
Congrats you guys! Thank you so much for allowing us to capture your wedding! We wish you many years of happiness!
