We are supposed to dread getting older aren’t we?  As children we can’t wait to grow up.  But somewhere after 21 life flips a switch and each year seems to be less exciting.  It really seems silly because age is just a number and after all, every year on earth is really just a blessing that we cannot take for granted.  I for one love that another year has gone by.  Another year we have spent together.  Another year of memories and filled with love.  We have spent 21 years together now and each one brings us another step closer to our dreams.  We started this journey together as babies really and now we have truly grown and built a life together.  The time I have had with you has meant everything to me.  Our boys and our life are all I ever wanted.  You gave me that.

Today I celebrate you.  Your birth, the fact that God brought us together, and the wonderful man that you have became.  I thank you for loving me so fiercely and never stopping.  No matter what.  I thank you for always doing whatever it takes to provide for our family without question.  I thank you for being an amazing dad to these boys from coaching baseball and archery to tucking them into bed at night.  I thank you for being an amazing husband.  For drying my tears, comforting me always, and giving me a place to dream.  I thank you for your patience, dedication and unwavering desire to serve this family.  I pray that we get so many more years on this earth together to celebrate you.
