Today’s for-the-bride post is all about that reception! One decision you will have to make is whether you want to have a sweetheart table just for the two of you or if you will be sitting alongside your bridal party. There are pros and cons to both and we are going to dive right into them!
Sweetheart table:
If you choose a sweetheart table, it will give you and your future husband a spot that is just for the two of you. You can really dress up that area well since you will likely be there for many photos, like your toasts and people will be stopping by to chat with you during the reception. This gives you a great excuse to really go all out on your table with a fun backdrop or hanging floral accents, etc as it will be the focal point of your reception. This also means that all eyes will be on you! The bonus is that you and your hubby will be able to look out at all the friends and family that are there to celebrate along with you!
Head Table:
If you cringe at the thought of being the center of attention, a head table might be the way for you to go. You can be seated amongst your bridal party or immediate families. You can still have your head table stand out with a little more decor than the guest tables. With this seating option, you will likely need to mingle through the guest tables as it will be harder for guest to chat with you.
If you choose a head table, you can still make your spot stand apart from the crowd with different chairs or cute chair signs. Get creative! 🙂
