This wedding was totally different from so many of our typical weddings. Nic and Caroline were wed on a Monday, mid-day in the summer. We occasionally get a weekday wedding, but rarely a Monday and hardly ever do they have their wedding mid-day! But Caroline wanted a summer wedding underneath the green trees with the sun shining bright and she got exactly that! It was such a beautiful day at the Harvest House. We love working there because it is so close to home and because the staff there is amazing. We always know things are going to go smoothly!
Caroline had to be one of the most chill brides I have had in forever too! She was calm the entire day! Mostly because she turned over the wedding details to ones she trusted and just enjoyed her day! It makes all the difference! She also planned a day that was simple but sentimental. Her dress was made by her grandmother and her veil by her mother. She wore her mother’s pearl necklace and her wedding bands were Nic’s grandmother’s original stones. Each little touch was so personal. And I love that Caroline let the gorgeous nature around the Harvest House take center stage on her wedding day!
Since their wedding was early in the day, we didn’t have our typical sunset portrait time, but we embraced the summer sun and shot in the fields anyway! I am kind of hooked on daytime light lately. Although it is bright, it can be so beautiful!
Caroline and Nic, thank you so much for trusting us to capture your wedding day! It was such an honor!
