Cody wasn’t really her type, or so she thought. Lindsey almost passed up on the chance to go on a date with him because she just wasn’t into red heads, beards or short guys. Now she says those are the things she loves most about him. It’s funny how we think we know what we want but we really don’t until we find it. Cody won her over on that first date by cooking steak and salad while she talked his ear off (partially because of her nerves) but after dinner and a movie, she knew there was something about him. They met up 3 more times that week and she just knew something special was happening. They both have little kids and when they introduced them to each other, Cody won her over again by playing with all three at the park that day. She said she knew he was the one at that very moment. “Falling in love with him was quick, easy and effortless” she said.
Cody affirmed that she was the one too while they were taking photos on the beach. Lindsey is also a photographer and when she finished a session, he suggested they take a few photos too. His brother snapped a few photos of them at sunset, on the last one, Cody dropped to his knee and blew Lindsey away with a stunning diamond ring. They have been doing life together for three years now. Enjoying Panthers games, hikes with the kids, and just building memories together. Each morning text he sends her still gives her butterflies. This fall they will officially become husband and wife in a perfectly planned ceremony for them and their kids. I am so honored to be the one they chose to capture it!
Their engagement session couldn’t have been more perfect! We met at the stunning Pilot Mountain and captured their love amongst breathtaking views! Lindsey wore a gorgeous sequined gown which fit her sparkly personality perfectly! (Future brides, her dress was from rent the runway). These two were so sweet together. Cody was quiet but the way he looked at Lindsey would melt your heart for sure!! I had so much fun photographing these two. We literally shot until all the light was gone and then we stood in the dark chatting in the parking lot. It was just like we were old friends. Of course, Lindsey and I have chatted so much that she was like an old friend already to me! That is one of the things I love most about my job- getting to know each and every couple we work with! I can’t wait to see these two again this fall for their mountain wedding!
