Karissa and I chatted for the first time a few weeks before her wedding day. She told me about the intimate ceremony they had planned on Pawley’s Island and I couldn’t wait to photograph it! I love weddings of all kinds- big and fancy and small and meaningful…they are all about the same thing-capturing love. When I arrived to Karissa’s house in Murrels Inlet, the sun had not even risen yet. Their morning ceremony didn’t leave me with much daylight to photograph their detail shots, but I made it work using her porch lights to help pull more light. After the sun started rising, we headed to Pawley’s Island for their beautiful ceremony. It was the perfect celebration among family and friends and a beautiful beach scenary. Afterwards, we headed to a local spot for some more portraits of the new husband and wife. Here are some peeks at their day.
And Gary is a complete goofball! He insisted on some fun portraits and Karissa indulged him. I love the mixture of his silly face with her beautiful expression.
Thank you guys for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day! I wish you many years of happiness!
