THE JOURNAL

Jarrod & Faith

There is no denying that young love is a beautiful thing.  Working with newly engaged and freshly married people reminds me over and over how exciting that stage of life is.  The anticipation, the fun of the beginning.  I just love it.  However, I am falling in love with marriage even more.  When a couple has been married for a while, there is a sense of stability and comfort about them.  They are natural together.  It shows in everything that they do.  I have seen this in my own marriage, but it is even more of an honor to document it in others.

Faith and Jarrod are a shining example of what marriage looks like.   When she wrote me to enter the contest, I love what she had to say about their relationship evolution:

“June will be 15 years since we became “us” and also makes 9 years of marriage. The children that went on that first double date to Pizza Inn have changed a lot but we have done it all together. From Going to separate colleges and devoting weekends to one another to job searches and house hunting. From a one bedroom apartment to our dream home in Pinehurst. From going out at midnight to a 9:30 bed time. From Smirnoff/Bud Light to Zinfandels/Cabernet. From fresh faced kids to gray hairs and wrinkles. We are doing this together. We always have and we always will.
I want to pause this time and celebrate how beautiful our lives are, how much our love has grown and cherish the man that God gave me because he gave me the best one for me.”

This past Sunday, we met up to give Faith and Jarrod a session honoring them.  The amazing Brianne Leigh Beauty worked her magic to pamper Faith with gorgeous hair and make-up.  Faith slipped into her Rent the Runway Gown and Jarrod into his suit.  And we walked the Pinehurst Country Club documenting their love.  It was a day I will never forget.  I asked them if they were going to go on a date after our session since they were all dressed up and they replied “we will probably order in take-out and spend the evening at home!”  And I totally relate to that!  While I love going out with my hubby, there is nothing greater in life than snuggling up on the couch in your home with the man you love.  Faith and Jarrod, I am so tickled that you guys won the contest giveaway.  You two are always a pleasure to work with.  I hope you cherish these photos for years to come!
