Back during Hurricane Matthew, I had the opportunity to second shoot with the awesome Emily Moore! It was a rainy but BEAUTIFUL wedding at Summerfield farm. Anthony and Meagan originally planned for an outdoor wedding in the open field by the big tree, but the yucky weather pushed their wedding inside. The Barn was still a gorgeous backdrop for their emotional ceremony. Emily and I spent a lot of time in the rain grabbing portraits and by the end of the day, I looked like a drowned rat and my rain boots got quite the wear and tear! But it was all worth it because their wedding day was an absolute JOY to photograph!
One of the things I love most about second shooting is that I get to focus on different parts of the day from when I am the lead shooter. I was in charge of the guys for this wedding and I enjoyed capturing them without the rush to move on to the next thing! I also got to focus on the groom during the ceremony and I LOVED his reaction to her walking down the isle. It was seriously the sweetest thing! Enjoy some of my favorites that I captured that day!
Meagan sent Anthony a gift to open before the ceremony. This was his reaction!
I knew if her gift brought out the tears, it would be double that when he saw her!!
And here was the BIG moment…he didn’t disappoint with his tearful reaction!!
And a few quick rainy portraits!
Thank you Emily for asking me to second shoot!
