We haven’t taken a family vacation in quite sometime! We usually turn a work trip for me into a mini family trip, but not in YEARS have we actually went as a family to somewhere just to have fun and NOT WORK! Travis has been itching to get outdoors more with the boys and if I am completely honest, I am not an outdoors person. The thought of bugs and creatures and sleeping on the ground didn’t make me happy….BUT I did it. I got out of my comfort zone and slept in a tent and had a BLAST with my family! We stayed at a Jellystone Campground in the mountains. That was the key to it all. There was so much to do all right there in our campground. But I think the best part of the entire trip was being completely unplugged for 3 days. We didn’t have cell service or wifi so there was no technology at all! And I didn’t allow the kids to bring iPads or gameboys so we were just out in nature having fun!

I think the highlight of the trip for the little guys was meeting the characters each morning! I just love Finn running up to Boo-boo like he did! SO sweet! He didn’t even want to meet Yogi, but Ames did!

And of course a fun waterpark!

They had a foam party one night!

And we also painted some banks!

Overall, it was amazing and we can’t wait to go again!

This was my first time camping but I did a lot of research and planning for the last few weeks. One thing that totally made the trip was these amazing Bug bands and stickers. We didn’t have to worry about bugs the entire trip! It was awesome!
